Their entire Board of Directors stood together and sang the sea shanty that paddlers have sung for years—an emotional and powerful moment that brought the room to attention. This one hit home: my husband and son have both paddled, and we’ve seen firsthand the heart, grit, and healing this community brings to families facing unthinkable diagnoses. We also celebrated Anant Yardi, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, whose vision, business leadership, and philanthropy have transformed the landscape of Goleta and beyond.
